Chocolate Avocado Pudding: Sweet Treat Packed With Potassium, Fibre -

Chocolate Avocado Pudding: Sweet Treat Packed With Potassium, Fibre -

I am so excited to try this pudding! If it wasn't so late, I would run out to the store and pick up 2 avocodos! I will wait until I get home from the gym tomorrow! mmmmm

This is a healthy, simple, sweet alternative to store bought puddings that are loaded with processed sugar and additives. If you've got children, you can be confident that this is a healthy pudding to give them.

Chocolate Avocado Pudding

2 ripe avocados
1/4 cup cocoa powder or raw cacao powder
1/2 cup honey
1/2 tsp vanilla flavour
Optional: Add 1 tbsp hazelnut butter for a Nutella-like taste, without the sugar

Cut avocado in half and remove the seed. Scoop out the inside of the avocado into a food processor. Add the honey and cocoa and continue to blend together until it's all smooth. Refrigerate 20-30 minutes before serving. Makes about 1½ cups.

You can use it as a spread on wholegrain pita, as a dip for fruit or enjoy it as is. Enjoy!

Weekend in Collingwood

The crisp air, and beautiful colors are so awesome this time of year. We went for a gorgeous hike and found a romantic and magical moment!!!Ahhh!! He he he

I realized a very simple lesson from Harley this weekend...she was leashed for our walk, and I could sense the struggle as she was resisting and really wanted to be set free to explore.

After unleashing my little harley, I watched her as she wandered with such curiousity, chased away anything that was in her way with such confidence and her agility as she jumps and runs around all her obstacles. Loving every single moment, in the moment!

Life is just like that, become curious about the unknown, hurdle those obstacles without fear, and overcome those hesitations with confidence in order to realize the rewards are part of the journey.

You may never make it to the destination, but you might as well have fun doing it!!!

Whats in my cabinets?

So this morning I woke up did my usual insane workout at 5am, and rushed home to make a good breakfast....I opened up the cabinets and Ronnie just gasped! Wow...I never realized how much 'stuff' you have! (you see....I do most of the cooking...)
This one above is mostly my baking cabinet. I have some vitamins as well in here.

I laughed and said...I need all of it! Then I took a good look at my cabinets and thought, geez, these are pretty! I like everything in them, and when I go to friends/families houses...I notice that I like going in their cabinets too...more to invade! I like pointing out the things that are NOT healthy, but you think they are. Maybe that should be a job for me!! The food nazi!!! Haha

Anyways, take a peak in, and see what some of my basics are.

This cabinet is my has my oats, and cereals!mmmmmmmmmmm I could eat just this all day every day!!
This basket....which you cannot see, has a collection of protein bars. (for those weak chocolate moments!!)

Have a great Wednesday!!!

Bio-K Probiotic formula

I just finished my 30 day supply of Bio-K probiotic formula and I have to say....I dont know if it benefited my body. I am very healthy but I have a complexion issue that I am trying to figure out. After speaking with some great people from my local health food store, they suggested I try this formula.

No change is present that I can visually see. I didnt mind taking this on a daily basis as the taste was o.k.  and it was good to have something on an empty stomache before the gym.

I chose the sprouted brown rice fermented version in 'vanilla'.

If you have taken this before, please send me a message or comment. I would love to hear back from anyone else that tried this.

Thanks, and have a great day!!

Dinner from my husband!

What can I say...I'm sure lucky to come home to Ronnie's little dinner concotions! Grilled chicken breasts marinated with curry and honey, grilled zucchini and corn, with a spinach salad that if full of raw chopped veggies. He even added my favorite 5 year old white chedder!! YUMMY!!!

(small confession.....I was happy to see his efforts, but on the way home, I was dreaming of eating my Vegan Overnight Oats!!) I have a slight problem! I love it, and could eat it for every meal!!!

However, I fully enjoyed his fabulous dinner!

Obviously spinach gives Ronnie muscles like popeye!!! Haha! Gotta love it....

Korean Food

Basic ddeokbokki on the magazine
After living in Korea for a couple of years I learned how to eat healthy. I knew that they ate for the health of it...and I learned what that meant. Each ingredient is carefully prepared to benefit your body in some way.

I have many favorite dishes and found this blog that clearly help de-mystify how to make korean food!!! Its fabulous and  I anticipate to try it out this weekend!!!
