Just discovered this Ezekiel Pasta made by Food For life that uses sprouted grains, it low on the Glycemic Index and very tasty!
- 1 box of ezekiel pasta
- 1/2 cup of chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp of Olive Oil
- 1 cube of Basil (fresh frozen)
- 2 cubes of Garlic (fresh frozen)
- 1 Can of Diced Tomatoes
- 1/4 Cup of Light Cream
- 1/4 cup of freshly grated parm cheese
As pictured above, these are the ingredients that I used to make a very simple and healthy version of pasta with a rose sauce.
Cook Ezekiel Pasta as instructed (Bonus, very quick cooking compared to Whole Wheat or Brown Rice Pasta, be careful not to overcook)
In a pan add Olive Oil and chopped onion, then add garlic and basil.
Once onions are soft and slightly browned stir in a can of diced tomatoes and the light cream. Once all is well combined add in freshly grated Parmesan cheese!
Voila! Super easy and enjoyable by everyone! Honestly this dinner took aprox. 15 minutes to prepare and be ready for the table! I served it with a mixed green salad and it was perfect!! :)
