Chocolate Cookie Dough Balls

First I have to apologize...for not taking many pictures of these amazing cookie dough balls....they went a little fast in my house!! So delicious!!

In a food processor blend
  • 1/2 cup of raw unsalted cashews
  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp of sea salt
  • 2 tbsp of organic cane sugar
  • 4 tbsp of natural crunchy peanut butter
  • 4 tbsp of pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup diced unsalted peanuts
  • 1/4 cup of brown rice crisp cereal

Add the first 5 ingredients first, then add all others but the brown rice cereal. Once blended transfer to a bowl and mix by hand with the cereal. Form into little balls and freeze!

They are amazing from the freezer, you can add them crumbled up to your frozen yogurt for a 'blizzard' like taste!!

ENJOY!!!!

Baking Soda- The Natural Deodorant

My mother has been telling me to stop using the conventional deodorants that most of use as there are harmful chemicals and aluminum in them. I have bought several natural brands, that just don't seem to work for me. I sweat a lot when I work out, and there is no way, I am going to be the stinky sweaty girl

So...I gave it a try...(I also backed myself up with a deodorant in my gym bag...just in case!!)

Baking Soda on its own works! I did a 2 hour workout, and I am in my 41th week of being pregnant!! I tell you I was sweating today!

But over time, I think it would cause a bit of dryness and irritation. Therefore I did a bit of research and found that by mixing baking soda (which deodorizes)with corn starch (which is the antiperspirant) you get the perfect combination!!

Here is the recipe for an all natural deodorant!

  • In a reusable and resealable container, mix 1 part baking soda with 6 parts cornstarch.
  • Close the container and shake to thoroughly mix the two powders.
  • Then dab a small amount to the skin of your armpits with a soft cotton cloth, cotton ball, or cosmetic applicator.
  • You shouldn't need to reapply the application as it should last at least a day
  • No stains or residue on my clothing!
